Work Out In 2004, the Galan Group was commissioned by the UWV (unemployment benefits and reintegration agency) to look into the effectiveness of its re-integration policy. In mid-2004, the UWV opened the so-called Showroom, in which a new, client oriented approach was introduced. The target was to speed up the process by which a jobseeker can find work. The required effect: greater outflow from the benefits systems and therefore a reduction in the costs of benefits. The Galan Group supported this project with the so-called “work out” approach, in which staff assessed the best approach, together with the clients. Experience has shown this to be an effective method or achieving interesting improvements in the results. Our "work out" method encourages practical ideas and gives them space for development, often with amazing, far-reaching results. By experimenting with various approaches, innovative solutions are often found in existing working processes.
